Moving company WayForth laid off hundreds of workers in August. Now, they are closing their operations in 8 states. This business is based in Richmond, Virginia and had 500 employees before their “reconstruction of operations.” It’s only remaining location will be in Richmond. WayForth went from 500 employees to 50 employees because “of a significant downturn in business and an inability to meet its financial obligations,” (Craig Shealy, CEO and co-founder). WayForth is not able to give its employees severance pay and was attempting to arrange investment deals to keep the company from “reconfiguring its operations.”
