Based on an article from Movers Development, new 2023 Moving Statistics have been published. Surveys of people who have moved recently show that there are many different reasons for relocation. The biggest reason remains work, but instead of downsizing to smaller, inner-city homes, people are spreading out and buying bigger and nicer houses to work from home. This is due to the impact of COVID-19 on the labor force and allowing a new wave of remote workers to become a normal thing. April through August remain the busiest moving months, Fridays and Saturdays have become the most popular days to move so that people do not have to take off any work. 3 bedroom houses are now the most purchased house because of the previous mention upscale in home buying. With the increase in buying larger houses, suburban and rural areas still are the most populated areas because of the wide availability of restaurants, stores, and other ease-of-access businesses.
