A company that’s been recognized as the oldest running Black-owned business in America has expanded to the Carolinas, opening offices in Charlotte and Raleigh.

E.E. Ward Moving & Storage Co. is a northAmerican Van Lines agent. The Columbus, Ohio-based company has founded in 1881 with ties to the Underground Railroad, according to a press release.
