Fox Business released a report that four major US cities are facing housing shortages that have not been seen for a long time. “Prospective homebuyers across the U.S. are facing a chronic shortage of available houses, but the scarcity is worse in some parts of the country, according to new Bank of America research.” The four cities are: San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, and Orlando. These cities are experiencing the biggest housing shortages because of “high population growth, a booming labor market, and low housing inventory.” However, the article goes on to say that new residents is a “double-edged sword” because housing stock in these cities is low, meaning new residents are struggling to find places to stay.
